An article about building UNISOKU's new workshop is published in OPTRONICS, May 2016 issue.
Completion is planned at the end of July, adjacent to the head office. Besides domestic needs, UNISOKU will answer the needs for emerging nations such as China and India, for researches of high functional materials and nanotechnology. The total floor area of new workshop will be about 500m², and annual productivity will be more than 40 systems. UNISOKU will produce the new microscope which is transferred from a German company in November 2015.
UNISOKU will build a new factory (second factory) next to the head quarter in order to improve the quality and the product capacity of UHV scanning probe microscopes. It is planned to complete by the end of July, 2016. The new factory has four pits facilities capable of assembling UHV-STM with mK-Vector magnet configuration. It has a space for manufacturing 6 systems at a time, aiming improvement of work efficiency and high quality shipping inspection structure. We will make further efforts to realize short delivery time and stable system start up.

UNISOKU acquired the right to manufacture and sell JT-STM from SPECS, German company, and expects 200 million to 300 million JPY increase of sales.
SPECS will manufacture and sell JT-STM for the orders from universities and research institutes already confirmed at this point. For the orders received from Nov. 2015, UNISOKU will manufacture and sell regardless of domestic or abroad.
President Suruga from UNISOKU commented "The time to compete and waste energy is over. The key to survival is to concentrate on a strong field"
Unisoku now collaborates with SPECS Surface Nano Analysis GmbH, a major supplier of surface analysis instrumentation from Germany. SPECS's Joule Thompson Scanning Probe Microscope (JT-SPM) will be completely transferred to Unisoku.
The transition of SPECS's main products, low temperature SPM, which includes SPM head with optical access in low temperature and high magnetic measurement, expands the choice of UNISOKU Product line for UHV, Ultra low Temp and High Magnetic field measurement. Both SPECS and UNISOKU will concentrate on their own strengths.

An article about UNSOKU 30mk Ultra low temperature High magnetic field STM system is published on 7th page of the Nikkei, August 22, 2012.
UNISOKU developed a STM useful for analyzing magnetic structure of magnetic materials. This new STM is ultra-low temperature (30mk) and able to make high magnetic field (16T). Atoms stop moving when cooled down to 100mk, and align to same direction. By adding magnetic field, you can observe atoms spinning the other way. The evaluation under ultra-low temperature and high magnetic field is useful for development of elements under room temperature. The price will be around one hundred million yen. The sales will start within this year. (this is a summary based on the article written by UNISOKU)
A new office is built adjacent to the head office, in our premises, at the end of June 2012.
