USM-1300 series makes it possible to observe the sample surface at low temperature in UHV by STM or AFM and analyze surface electronic properties using various methods.

1) Standard system (USM-1300S 4He,USM-1300S 4HeVTI)
The standard system using liquid helium is designed for observation of the sample surface at a very low temperature of 4.2K. We offer this system with Variable Temperature Insert to control the sample temperature in the range of 2K - 50K.

2) Super low temperature system (USM1300S 3He)
The system with 3He cryostat is capable of keeping the sample to observe at ultra-low temperature range from 4.2K to <0.4K.

All the above systems are applied to operation in high magnetic field up to 5, 7, or 11T (depending on the superconductive magnet to use). These systems are also able to combine with other analytical tools mounted on the sample preparation chamber.

This series is still under further development for improvements in performance, operability and stability.
